Committees
In order to carry out all the projects that Kiwanis is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees.

Board - By-Law Committee Board committee responsible for tracking District & International Bylaw changes that affect the By-laws of the Medford Kiwanis Club.Recommends changes to existing bylaws to Board of Directors for submission to the membership.

Club Administration Shall be responsible for providing for the following activities: Meeting management – Set up of meeting facilities, venue management, collection of lunch fees, lunch attendance, meeting fund raising-auctions, happy dollars, joker pot, greeters, sergeant-at-arms. Spiritual Growth – Scheduling invocation presenters, member remembrances – birthdays, get well, hospital/home visitations, sympathy cards and any other appropriate activity relating to the well being of our membership. Donations

The Donations Committee is charged with developing recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding disposition of available funding to community based programs for the assistance and enrichment of children. The committee is charged with proposing recommendations of what Community programs we should support and at what levels. Finance & Fund Raising This committee is responsible for preparing a club operating budget for submission to the board of directors as well as any recommendations it may have on financial matters of the club. It is also responsible for securing the funds necessary to meet the budget needs of the club administration. This committee will also work with projects and donations committee in developing budgets and fund raising activities for community activities, projects, and the Medford Kiwanis Foundation.

Membership Growth & Education This committee is charged with striving to increase membership, educate newly inducted members by providing new member orientation. Receiving membership applications and submitting its recommendations to the board of directors. The committee is responsible for providing an appropriate induction ceremony for new members insuring that all materials are ready and available at time of ceremony. This committee should use all means available to develop new members by using appropriate marketing
Programs
Ydstie, John
The programs committee in collaboration with the Club Administration committee is responsible for providing engaging programs for the weekly meetings of the club. The committee is responsible for scheduling speakers/programs, providing the speaker introduction.
Projects In collaboration with the Donations and Finance & Fund Raising Committees the projects committee will implement the planning and execution of projects that are beneficial to the community. These projects include fund raising projects to hands on projects.
Public Relations The public relations committee is responsible for the promotion of Kiwanis to the local print and broadcast media, community and business groups. This committee will also work closely with the Membership Growth and Education committee to enhance that committee’s new member outreach. This committee should use all tools available, press releases, public service announcement opportunities, free advertising & co-operative advertising opportunities. Sponsored Youth and Young Children Priority One This committee shall devise ways and means to establish and support Kiwanis Kids clubs in elementary schools, Builders Clubs in junior/middle schools, Key Clubs in High Schools, Circle K clubs in universities and colleges and Aktion Clubs for adults with disabilities and should encourage and promote of all such clubs sponsored by the club.
